This new $20 million development is the crowning glory on Batemans Bay's already rapid growth and development. The major development of the CBD will further boost Batemans Bay's appeal to retirees and holiday makers and catapult Batemans Bay into the next phase of its growth towards becoming a major regional centre and city.
There is also a proposed re-development for the Batemans Bay Marina to expand the facilities and berthing requirements to cope with the growing numbers that come to the area each year. Many people have put in requests over the years to have the Marine extended and it is now that the Department of Lands is now complying to make room for a number of new moorings and brand new facilities at the marina precinct.
