Hunter Valley Gardens is nestled amongst the foothills of the Brokenback Ranges in the heart of the Hunter vineyards, one of Australia's premier tourist destinations. Created by Bill Roche, who along with his family from the Australian owned company Roche Group, the entire property now spans over 300 hectares. Purchased by the Roche Group in 1998, the key components of this award-winning property include Tallawanta Lodge and Conference Centre, Harrigan’s Irish Pub and Accommodation, Grapeview Villas, Lazzarini's Restaurant, Roche Wines, Hunter Valley Gardens Village, BBQ and picnic grounds, children's playground and a beautiful Chapel for private services, weddings or christenings.

The "Jewel in the Crown" however, is of course the Hunter Valley Gardens themselves - 25 hectares of spectacular international display Gardens that will amaze you with sensational sights, colours, fragrances and adventures all of a standard you won't see elsewhere in Australia. Set in the historic district of Pokolbin, Hunter Valley Gardens is ideal destination for your next holiday, conference or unique short break.

Conferences:

Hunter Valley Gardens offers the perfect environment for any conference, function or social event and provides the 'complete' conference destination.

Whether it's for 2 or 250 people we will tailor your event to your needs. Such an event could be a moonlit tour of our world-class gardens, a wine tasting among our vines or perhaps a balloon flight or five-star meal. All you need to do is ask.

Their Conference & Function Centres provide comprehensive, first-class facilities and a venue which can be tailored to suit any occasion - gala dinners, special events, sales presentations, conferences, training seminars and product launches.

In keeping with their commitment to excellence, we offer business facilities and extensive opportunities for team building activities. All functions are catered by their award-winning Chef & a dedicated conference management team is always on hand to ensure all your arrangements run smoothly leaving you (and your delegates) to enjoy the Hunter Valley Gardens experience.

Weddings:

Hunter Valley Gardens provides a romantic setting for any wedding.

The centrepiece of the property is the Chapel, a stunning white building surrounded by tranquil gardens and lined with white Magnolia trees. Featuring hand-carved pews and capacity for 150 guests, the Chapel is positioned amongst spectacular gardens, creating the perfect setting for your ceremony and wedding photographs.

While you have your photographs taken, wedding guests can stroll to the reception at The Lodge nearby, and afterwards stay overnight in the luxurious 4½ star accommodation.

Garden Shed:

The Garden Shed is a most beautiful retail outlet located near the entrance of the Hunter Valley Gardens.

Inside The Garden Shed you will discover an exciting range of Hunter Valley Gardens souvenirs, a large selection of home wares, garden tools and accessories, garden furniture to compliment gardens and outdoor areas of your home and giftware quite unlike anything else on offer in the valley.

They are open 7 days per week (except Christmas Day) 9am - 5pm.

Village Shops:

As Pokolbin's town centre, Hunter Valley Gardens Village features a variety of boutique specialty shops, restaurants, attractions, a beautiful Chapel and free entertainment in the Village rotunda on weekends.

Enjoy the beautifully landscaped gardens of the Village and make the most of the picnic facilities, located right next to the fully enclosed children's playground.
