Jindabyne is one of the most popular destinations in New South Wales for a skiing holiday. Situated at the foot of the range on the shores of Lake Jindabyne, the town provides a convenient location to stay and make a base from which it is easy to access all of the local ski resorts via the ski tube. It provides a nice range of Snow accommodation to suit visitors of ranges.

There is a wide range of Jindabyne accommodation featuring properties from Backpacker and ski lodges through hotels, motels and self contained holiday units. There is also a comprehensive range of restaurants, cafés and pubs to suit every budget. During the summer this is also a popular destination with both the bush walking and fishing fraternity. The area is famous, year round as a trout fishing destination.

The ski fields are within easy reach. You can drive to Thredbo or Perisher Valley and the parking is free. Snow chains must be carried by all vehicles. Do drive carefully and watch out for the wildlife! There is nothing worse than the sight of a dead wombat beside the road. There is also a regular shuttle bus from Jindabyne to both Thredbo Village and Perisher Blue however the most convenient and quickest method of accessing the slopes is via the ski tube. Jindabyne is easy to access as there are regular flights with coach connections from both Canberra and Cooma airports.
