You will find all different kinds of activities such as snowshoeing, tobogganing, snowboarding parks, Selwyn Snow World, snowmaking competitions for the kids, cross country skiing, mountain biking, horse riding, guided and self guided walks and fishing. At Mount Selwyn it will have something for all types of people whether you want to keep things fast paced and try out the more difficult terrain parks or perhaps keep your feet firmly on the ground and check out the wonderful waterfalls nearby. Even the kids will be catered for with the Milo Snow Sports School where they can learn to ski and build up their confidence and meet new kids to play with.
Mt Selwyn accommodation varies from lodges, hotels, motels, cabins and cottages that all differ in prices for just what you are after. You will find places to stay that are right on the ski slope or you can stay at one of the neighbouring towns such as Adaminaby or Anglers Beach. Whatever you decide on, you will not be disappointed, with everything being provided and plenty of room to move.
Many of the different accommodation establishment in the village of Mount Selwyn have their own onsite restaurant that always welcomes new visitors to come in and try out their great meals that they offer. But you can also go into the town of either Adaminaby or Anglers Beach to check out the number of pubs, clubs, cafes and restaurant to see if there is anything that would wet the whistle for you and your family.
It is possible to travel by either car, coach or go by air to Mount Selwyn. With plenty of onsite parking travelling by car is easy and a great way to discover what the Snowy Mountains really has to offer. All you need to do is make your way to Canberra and then from here it is only a two hour drive but you must remember to stop at one of the three different points into the National Park to organise paying your fees to drive through the Kosciuszko National Park. If you go by air you can fly from any major city in Australia to Canberra or go by coach which runs very regular trips to Mount Selwyn if you are travelling with one of the major coach companies.
