Perisher Valley

Perisher Valley and its divisions – Perisher Blue, Smiggins Holes, Blue Cow and Charlottes Pass provide the largest skiing playground in the Southern hemisphere.

The area is easily accessed by road from Jindabyne and there is free parking. Obviously snow chains must be carried. There are also regular shuttle buses from Jindabyne and you can also choose the ski tube to access the area. Air and coach connections are available from Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane and the nearest airports are Canberra and Cooma.

For the skier, Perisher Blue provides 50 lifts which include an 8 seat express chairlift and two express quad chairs. The mountain provides 1245 hectares with a vertical drop of 355 metres. There is also a super pipe and mini pipe together with terrain rails for the enthusiast. There are also areas that allow for night skiing. Snow making equipment is used if Mother Nature does not supply the goods. There is also a fantastic selection of Perisher valley accommodation to choose from.
