Sydney’s beaches are located along the whole coastline of the city on the Pacific Ocean, as well as harbours, bays and rivers in the city. Sydney, Australia is renowned for its beaches and with its warm climate, attracts people to the beaches almost all year round. Sydney's ocean beaches include the internationally renowned Bondi Beach and Manly, while harbour beaches include Balmoral Beach. The ocean beaches are usually divided into the Northern Beaches, located north of the entrance to Sydney Harbour and the southern beaches which are in the eastern suburbs and Cronulla area. Most beach suburbs have one beach but some can have more. Manly has eight beaches that range from the large 1.6 kilometres Ocean Beach to the tiny Fairy Bower Beach. Both the Novotel Sydney Manly Pacific and Novotel Sydney Brighton Beach are fine examples of quality beachside accommodation. Sydney also has beaches along the Hawkesbury River to the north; Botany Bay and Port Hacking to the south.
