Each year, the gallery develops several educational programs to involve community participation to increase public access to and understanding of art. Also available for event hire is the gallery, it is a unique space that offers a great ambiance.

Take a boat ride to Coocumbac Island next to Martin Bridge and explore rainforest subtropics. The Manning River is one of several beautiful rivers born inside the Barrington Coast’s Barrington Tops hinterland. Breathing life into the land as their crystal clear waters tumble from the rough peaks; this is the Barrington Coast-a place where the leaves touch the waters from the mountains to the sea.

The Manning River is a double delta river system with two openings in the southern hemisphere, the only one of its type. The river’s central mouth is in Harrington, with its second opening at Old Bar.

The river rises within Barrington Tops National Park, near Mount Barrington. It descends 1,500 meters from the high upper reaches through the Manning Valley and out to the Pacific Ocean near Taree over its 261-kilometer course. From Apex Lookout, enjoy incredible scenic views over the valley.

With Skydiving NSW Drop Zone, go skydiving over the regional splendor. From Wallabi Point to Old Bar and Crowdy Head, boating, fishing, swimming, and surfing are popular in pretty towns on the valley’s coastal strip.

Wallabi Point is a small village that overlooks the Pacific Ocean and is famous for its surfing beach. Saltwater Nature Reserve lies at the far end of Wallabi Point. The local branch of the National Parks and Wildlife Service maintains this magnificent reserve, which is of great cultural significance to the local Birpi people. The park has a lagoon, picnic tables, and a barbecue. The park contains Aboriginal sites related to Dreamtime beliefs, and the lagoon provides family safe swimming.

On Old Bar Beach, a well-known surfing beach and a fantastic kite-boarding spot, roll out a towel. The Old Bar Beach Festival is an annual celebration with the market and food stalls, kids’ activities, and live music held every long October. Kombi Fest is one of the highlights of that festival.

Saltwater National Park is located just 10 minute drive from Old Bar. Saltwater Beach is surrounded by rainforests and is a great surfing and swimming spot. Paddle a canoe on Khappinghat Creek among the mangroves, or walk the Headland Walking Track to a platform to watch the whales.

From Taree, take in some of NSW’s best scenic drives. Explore the wilderness, wineries, and farmers’ markets in the national park. Find treasures at Cundletown Markets, and work locally. Check the Manning Entertainment Centre shows out. Manning Entertainment Center provides first-class performing arts facilities, ranging from school productions and amateur theater to nationally and internationally acclaimed artists. The Manning Entertainment Center is a 505-seat theater located in Taree, New South Wales, serving Manning Valley residents, Great Lakes, Gloucester, and Camden Haven.

The Easter Powerboat Spectacular is a popular annual riverside event. The annual Taree Easter Powerboat Classic is set to be one of the best meetings yet, featuring plenty of racing, quality entrants, and hosting the Liberty Cup’s 10th Anniversary run, along with heaps of other major races.
