Out on the water you can embark on a fishing cruise to do some deep sea or game fishing or perhaps you would like to cruise the water ways on a lunch or romantic dinner cruise for to two of you or even the whole gang. There are cruises departing everyday all throughout the year, as the weather is picture perfect all of the time! There are even house boats that you can hire for as long as you want to cruises up and down the rivers at your own speed as you relax and unwind on a holiday like never before.
Maybe you want to get your blood pumping so you could look into doing a hiking, bush walking or bicycle tour through the National Parklands. There are joy flights and joy rides where you can just sit back and take in the breathtaking scenery as well as tours to the neighbouring towns within the area that you can wander through and discover the many delights.
If you just can’t get enough of the water there are kayaking and canoeing tours that you can do to really get close to nature and discover the beautiful bays and inlets and pristine river systems that snake their way through the area.
Located 15 kilometres from Batemans Bay is this former goldfields site and it is here that you can go on a guided tour of an underground gold mine. There is also a small historical village with art and craft shops. Perhaps you would like to go bird watching along the foreshore or through the National Parks with a very experienced guide or maybe even go horse riding through the country side….. if you are looking for it, it is here in Batemans Bay!
Why not take a tour of Montague Island, with its historic lighthouse and fur seals, Fairy penguins and seabirds or take the kids to visit the Mogo Zoo to see rare and endangered animals or nearby Birdland to meet koalas, wombats and native birds. Then there is the historic cheese factory and craft shops at Central Tilba, built in the 1890s which many tour operators make regular stops at with some of their fantastic day tours that they offer.
